Reiki is Good, not Bad.

Energy therapy, energy medicine, energy healing, and spiritual healing, are all branches of alternative medicine. Most people have challenging emotions that manifest throughout their lifetime, some starting from childhood. These range from fear to guilt to Shame and so on, until they are worked on from an energetic level. Unfortunately, many people don’t understand the significance of what this means. If it’s left unattended, the chakras and energy flow and your body can become unsteady, causing the negative energies to grow and begin to affect your health, your relationships, and even your life. The chakra system is basically a roadmap of the bodies seven major energy centers, which run from the base of the spine to the crown of the head. When a chakra is properly balanced, flowing evenly, and aligned, they charge the body with revitalizing life force energy. But when imbalances, blockages, or behavioral patterns, take hold of the energy fields, a person begins to lose confidence and grounding. Which will lead to fatigue, confusion, fear, along with many other symptoms and issues. Similar to the holistic approach of the Native American healing, Reiki centers around bio field imbalances which must be aligned in order to maximize the body’s ability to combat, heal, and resist stress. Using the appropriate actions to restore harmony and balance to the person’s body, mind, and spirit. Unfortunately, there have been a lot of people that are truly misled about Reiki healing and because of their misunderstanding they are starting to develop a fear of Reiki therapy. Therefore, it’s time to learn the benefits of this type of therapy and its healing now. Reiki is NOT “witchcraft” nor is it ”evil”, as some are calling it. These statements are coming from people who know nothing about Reiki and has never even tried it. They’re only speaking through their own fears and doubts about something they have no clue about. Reiki, is pure energy and is done in the highest good of all things. It’s only a different way of healing for the physical, emotional, and spiritual parts of a person. In fact, were all fueled by this life force energy. It’s not a single religion or belief and it’s nothing that’ll condemn you for receiving either. There...

Smudging After the Holidays!

Were all geared up with the holiday season. We made it through that wonderful Thanksgiving dinner with relatives that come from all over which you only see this time of year and/or taking that perfect dish to pass around another person’s home with people you may or may not even be acquainted with. As we all know well, with this joyful season there always comes that survival of the crazy negative family member (or two) that we all endure each year for the holidays. We all have them and like every year we are relieved after dinner when they all leave or we can go home. But, either way, it’s not over yet! It’s just begun because now there’s only a few weeks left until Christmas and let’s face it; the stress is becoming overwhelming. The negativity from the multiple people is still there lingering, now the stress from the stores and shopping for that perfect gift, along with spending too much money, starts feeding that negativity and it begins festering and growing around you and your home. Even if you enjoy the holiday season and all the people that common go, there’s still that negativity that they bring, from their own lives, into your home by either entering themselves or transferring their negativity on to you for you to carry home yourself. The feelings of things being off, things not quite right, your mood being different, or your home now feeling wrong, stuffy, or stale. We all get to have these feelings after the holidays. It’s typically when we start to think about how grate it would feel to open up the windows in the spring and “air the house out”. Sounds familiar? This is when it’s a great time to smudge your home and yourself, along with everyone who lives there. Smudging is an ancient Native American traditional ritual that will purify your home, space and body, clearing out the negative energies that are lingering around, no matter how they got there. It will leave a feeling of positive relaxation and soothing throughout the home. There is a calming peacefulness every time you enter a room and it feels refreshing after the hectic schedule of the holidays. All the different types of...

What to Expect During a Reiki Session.

Every Reiki session is different just as is each person having the therapy done. There is no need to undress for a session of Reiki unless it is being combined with massage therapy, in which case, the practitioner will instruct you as what to do. It’s a good idea to wear loose clothing that is comparable and easy to lay down and relax in. The session will be done while laying on a massage table in a room filled with soothing ambience to help relaxation and alignment to occur. Although, Reiki practitioners have their own style they use during their sessions, the outcome typically is the same for the client. A sense of calmness, peacefulness and happiness occurs within them. It’s a sense of well-being and balance throughout the entire self. One of wholeness and fulfillment. A feeling of pure relaxation without any worries or stress. There are times when a client will have an emotional release during or after the session (just like in massage therapy). This is a common response and is very normal, so please, if this happens, allow it. It is only your body ridding itself of the toxic emotions that has been stored inside the subconscious for who knows how long. Letting go of these pent-up emotions is the body’s way of healing itself. You may not even know why it’s happening but either way, the body knows it needs to release it and let it go, in order to heal. Emotional releases don’t always happen to everyone who has Reiki done, but it can happen and you need to be aware it. Whether you do or you don’t have an emotional release, understand that it is normal either way. Reiki works on healing physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually within the body, mind, and soul. It balances the body with energy for the higher good and allows you to move forward in life instead of staying stuck. During the session most clients, but again not all, may see different things. Such as colors or colorful lights, similar to the northern lights, dancing around. Others see visions of scenic settings, photographs, faces, people that come to them and many other things. Then there are clients that see nothing but have...

Plus everyone experiences different things but they are all positive and uplifting for your body and health. Your Reiki practitioner should consult with you before your session begins to go over things and answer any of your questions or concerns. Reiki is a universal life energy force that is used as a healing technique by a practitioner through channeling the energy to activate its natural healing process of the person’s body and restores physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being. Reiki is the life energy that flows through all living things. It is not affiliated with any particular one thing. Some feel it is a part of their faith and beliefs, like having “faith the size of a mustard seed in order to move a mountain”. Others say it’s a health care practice because they themselves or someone they know has been healed by Reiki. Then many others have no answer for it at all, they only know what works. They know the feeling and experience when they receive a session. This is because Reiki is work done with energy to provide benefits in different areas of life that people can’t completely understand or explain the reasoning behind it. All they know is, Reiki works! When a person’s energy is free flowing and strong their body and mind are in a positive state of health. But when the energy becomes blocked or weakened by anything,...
